The aim of the project is to establish a salt reclamation facility in Central Ghana. The facilities would be able to produce one million tons of raw (industrial) salt for export (80%) and domestic markets.  
 
It is expected that the output from this facility would initially be exported in the unrefined form, but that at a later stage some additional plant and equipment would be installed to manufacture a variety of derivative products from industrial salt.
